Reynaldo Hill? Konnte nichts und ist weg. Chris Carr? Konnte was, aber zu teuer. Weg. Eric King?

Sorry dear english-speaking readers. There are so many Tennesse Titans fanpages. Unfortunately for those who only speak German, the number of german Titans fanpages is pretty low, so I will switch to German in the future. Go to www.gotitans.com or www.titansradio.com for English information of the Tennesse Titans.

As a German, I don’t really get to see too much of the NFL over here. Watching an NFL game live on TV is sometimes a real challenge. It is especially hard to get a Titans game over here, since the Titans aren’t the most popular team over here. Actually most people have never even heard of them. So, I was really excited to see some football when I went to the US the last 2 weeks. Since I knew that the season hasn’t started yet, I wanted to at least get to see some stadiums and maybe a training camp or two.
On my route to LA, I stopped in Oakland and San Francisco. Since the Athletics played Baseball in the Colliseum in Oakland, I got to see the stadium from the inside, which was a blast! Not only was it fun to see some baseball, but also to stand in the stadium where NFL football is played was really a great feeling for me. So I went to the 49ers to see their stadium, since I like(d) the 49ers more than the Raiders anyway. It would have been such a great day… BUT: The stadium was almost impossible for a tourist to find – it is on NO map, no road signs until 2 miles before the stadium and the people in San Fran didn’t know where the 49ers play. When I finally got there, all I saw was a stadium that looked like it had been abandonned twenty years ago. The parking lot was filled with trash, the fence was rusty and cut in many places. I was too afraid to go out of my car, because it looked like I imagined a bad neighborhood. So I drove all the way around the stadium to find someone from the organization. All I found was an entrance to a small parking lot, where a few cars where parked. So I drove onto the parking lot, since I couldn’t find any signs which prohibited me from doing so. As soon as I drove onto the lot, an older lady, dresses as a security guard harshly asked me if she could help me. It would have been nice, if she would have actually asked me, if she could help me, but it sounded more like she wanted to tell me, that I should get the heck out of there. I asked her if there is any way to see the stadium or if there is any tour of some kind. I even told her that I came all the way from Germany and that I am a huge 49ers fan (which was not completely true and if I would have said it today it would have been a huge lie), but she just told me that there is nothing and that I have to leave right away.
Great. What if I would have been a 49ers fan? I went online to see if I could at least get to see the 49ers in training camp, but all I could find out was that I would have to suscribe to buy tickets to get to see the training camp. Of course I would have to answer the question if I want to buy regular season tickets for any games. Since I was not gonna be around for any games I thought that my chances of getting a ticket to the training camp would be very slim.
If I would have been a 49ers fan, I would have been very disappointed. Actually I am disappointed. It is a shame that a multimillion dollar business does not keep their stadium clean, but instead lets it look like nobody, but homeless people have been there for over a decade. Shame on you, 49ers!

David Stewart, the Titan’s right tackle signed a one year deal, which will pay him a little bit over $2 million in 2008. The Titans signed Roos to a six-year deal and are looking to sign the 2005 fourth round draft pick to a long term deal also. The Titans O-Line has been one of their biggest assets, but has often been overshadowed by the defense and of course by Vince Young. I hope that the Titans will make an effort to keep Stewart on the team. Although he might look like a stubborn child on some pictures, he is a big workhorse for the Titans. If they will get both tackles under long term contracts, they can focus on finding the right replacement for Kevin Mawae, who will probably retire sooner or later.
